Qualifications:

  • B. A. of Piano Performance
  • Level 10 RCM (Royal Conservatory of Music)
  • Two-time National Finalist in CMC (Canadian Music Competition)

Lois Park started piano at the age of 7 years old and quickly progressed through Levels 1-7 RCM. She competed in music festivals at the local and provincial level, winning numerous awards and scholarships.

Lois took her musical career to the next level from Level 8 RCM, with more demanding repertoire and competitions. She studied with Mary Jo Carrabré, Director of the Eckhardt-Gramatté Conservatory of Music, and completed her Level 9 and 10 RCM during this time. Lois also took extra lessons and masterclasses with Dr. Kyung Kim. She competed in the Canadian Music Competition twice and became a National Finalist representing Saskatchewan in 2009 and Manitoba in 2010.

Lois continued studying with Dr. Kyung Kim and graduated from Brandon University with a Bachelors of Piano Performance (2010-2014). During her time as an undergraduate, she gained an excellent reputation for her collaborations with other students in various studios including Strings, Brass, Woodwind, and primarily Voice. Noted for her incredibly quick sight reading, Lois often filled in for many performances at a moment’s notice. She was involved in many recitals, piano ensembles, concert choirs, chamber groups and keyboard accompaniments.

After graduating, Lois gained valuable experience playing for weddings, memorial services, TV shows, documentaries, numerous Music Festival and Provincial performances, musical theaters, children’s summer music camps, senior music therapy, and various events in the Brandon and Winnipeg regions. Lois also returned to Brandon University to work full-time under Professor Naomi Forman, Vocal Instructor, accompanying her students in rehearsals, lessons, masterclasses, and recitals. As a church & choir pianist, Lois served 6 years at Trinity United Church in Brandon, Manitoba, until 2018.

Lois Park currently resides in Victoria, British Columbia, and looks forward to sharing her music with you!
